Prayers of Authority

07Apr

In last weeks messages, we had an examination of the Lord's Authority. I particularly enjoyed the portion presented in Day 5. It begins with the Lord's speaking in Mark 11:23:

Truly I say to you that whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says happens, he will have it. For this reason I say to you, All things that you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and you will have them.

What does this mean to us today? Our experience tells us that we cannot move mountains with a word. However, in Matthew 8:5, the Centurion had faith that Jesus needed to speak only a word and his servant would be healed. Though we may not have that authority in our current condition, through belief, we are assured that our authority is in Christ, the one who has been given ALL authority.

The text in the Holy Word for Morning Revival goes on to say that we should be those praying downward . This means that when we are praying from the position we have taken through our trust in Christ (in the heavenlies), we are praying downward prayers in unison with the Lord's will. We will be praying the Lord's Will into existence! How marvelous!
