Worship with us

Growing in the Lord together

Our hope is that the meeting hall for the church in Frisco can be a place that shepherds and encourages your growth in Christ. We believe that the church is not a physical place - but rather it is composed of individual members that together form the corporate body of Christ for his expression on earth. We never arrive, but we are all committed to walking the journey together. Our earnest prayer is that you would join us in growing in the Lord personally, and spreading the good news of Christ's perfect living and all-inclusive death and resurrection corporately.

Every Lord's Day we gather together as a community of friends and family to celebrate with singing and testimonies from different members of their experiences of reading the Word, meeting together, and enjoying the living God.

IN SPIRIT AND TRUTHFULNESS

We start with a couple of verses to frame our invitation to you from the Gospel of John, chapter 4

Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. - verse 21

But an hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truthfulness, for the Father also seeks such to worship Him. - verse 23

God made us with a human spirit (Zechariah 12:1). This is our deepest part, even something deeper than our soul. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says: ...and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete... Hebrews 4:12 says that the Word of God pierces to the dividing of soul and spirit. These verses illustrate that our human spirit is distinct.

Putting all these verses together, we are most eager to invite you to worship with us! Let's gather together in various places: in the homes, in the schools, in the workplaces, and at the meeting hall of the church in Frisco. Let's take in God's holy word that it might help us to discover our wonderful human spirit. Then, we can worship God using this precious, innermost part of our being.

Furthermore, when the Lord Jesus said "In truthfulness" we think that also means "in sincerity", and also "in genuineness". This implies a continual living of worship, not merely a once-a-week activity. We confess that we ourselves have not arrived at such a living; but to this kind of living we also invite you! Let's endeavor together! Let's gather as often as we can to read His word, touch our spirit, and render true worship to our God and Father.

Join us in home meetings throughout the week. Visit us Sundays at our brand new meeting hall! We can sing to the Lord with our spirit. We can read passages from the Bible together. We can speak words of grace to one another to build up the spiritual house of God. We hope this invitation is lasting and we leave you with these most encouraging verses for your continual worship of God.

...Be filled in spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and psalming with your hearts to the Lord. - Ephesians 5:18-19

In whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in spirit. - Ephesians 2:22
